ET NEWS JOURNAL
======================================================================

As more and more municipalities adopt the International Building Code, it's
important for all members of the fire protection engineering team to get some
additional training.

One source of training is the new AFAA 2-day seminar entitled "Understanding the
Fire Alarm Requirements of the International Building Code".

Day 1 is spent reviewing the code language to get a better understanding of how
the IBC is organized and to discuss fire alarm requirement by occupancy.

Day 2 is a series of exercises. Attendees break up into workgroups to design a
compliant fire alarm system based upon occupancy and building characteristics.

This is a great way to familiarize yourself with the International Building Code
and to apply what you learn to real-life examples.

Check the schedule listed below and plan to attend an IBC seminar coming to you
soon!

Contact me to find out how your group can sponsor a seminar.
