DEAN REED MEMORIAL SERVICES
---------------------------

When: Saturday June 5, 2004
       6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Camp Long
       5200 35th Avenue SW
       Seattle, WA
       (for directions call 206-684-7434)

Since Dean loved barbecues, the family will have a barbecue and provide the ribs
and hamburgers. Please bring a dish to share and your own drink.

Please do not send flowers - the family prefers a CASH memorial as this is their
need at this time.

Dean's wife: Ginnie Reed
              8317 35th SW
              Seattle, WA 98126

If you need a ride I've got a few seats left in my winky van. I'm driving from
Portland to Seattle on Saturday to attend the memorial, then I'm staying the
night at Doubletree - SeaTac, and then I'm driving back on Sunday.

STATE BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS
--------------------------------

It has been difficult for me to stay apprised of current building code
requirements. I've accumulated a few web links that may be useful to you if
you're doing work in a new location for the first time.

Caveat - call the local building code agency to confirm their requirements
including any local building official interpretations.

Firstsource web site requires users to register (free). You can then look up
building code requirements and contact info by state, city, or county.
http://www.firstsourceonl.com/codes/index.asp

The International Code Council web site includes a map and legend listing states
that have adopted the international code. California is mysteriously gray :)
http://www.iccsafe.org/government/adoption.html

The American Fire Sprinkler Association web site includes an Adobe Acrobat
document listing building code requirements by state.
