AFAA
----
About 20 dealers, AHJ's, and FPE's enjoyed lunch and listened to Larry
Neibauer describe the history and purpose of AFAA. There seemed to be
consensus and desire amongst the attendees to re-launch the Oregon chapter
of AFAA. Larry Tate graciously accepted the mantle of president pro tem.
Larry will disseminate a notice of the next meeting, which will probably be
held on September 11.

OBFAA
-----
About 30 vendors displayed their products to approximately 100 LES (Limited
Energy Systems) Expo attendees. The NICET seminars were well attended and
attendees showed a great deal of interest in adopting NICET requirements at
the State level.

TECH TIPS

Policy 30, Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
----------------------------------------------------
Once certified, be sure to keep track of any training you attend,
associations you join, and relevant work experience. Every three years you
will have account for 90 CPD points. I've found it's easier to keep track of
these activities as I perform them rather than relying on my failing memory!

You can download an editable Acrobat file and document your activities as
you go --> http://www.nicet.org/cpdlog.pdf. When renewal time comes you
simply have to review the document and print it out.
