31006 BASIC ELECTRICITY
Work element #31011, "Basic Metric Units and Conversions," is mandatory for certification at Levels II, III and IV. All other Level I General Core Work Elements constitute a mandatory requirement for achieving certification at Levels III and IV.

Understand D.C. circuits, use of Ohm's Law, series and parallel circuits, resistance of wires, voltage drop calculations, use of VOM (volt-ohm-milliammeter), and A.C. circuits.
